[Free LR presets from FTT] fan exclusive photographer resources

We are giving away our first ever set of LR presets for our Facebook friends!  I know that many of you have been frustrated when shooting backlit images.  Even the best photographer can angle the camera so that too much light gets in and a perfectly beautiful shot gets washed out.  In the past these were time consuming edits for me until I developed my own LR workflow fix.  I am sharing it with you now.  These presets work best on RAW files, and may or may not require some adjusting with your brightness/contrast bars.  Color and temperature should adjust easily to your preference. I do about 80% of my editing in LR, then open in Photoshop for the final artistic and skin editing processes.  I will be posting a video tutorial on how these work for me very soon.  You can get your set by visiting us at www.facebook.com/fromthetreetop or by clicking the image below. TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS-

  • Use on RAW image files
  • Adjust your exposure/recovery first
  • Best on well or slightly overexposed sun flare shots
  • Underexposed images won’t work as well with this set

What have I been up to?  A whole lot of wrapping and sending out pretty packages!!  I think it’s one of my favorite parts of the job..well…maybe not the actual post office thing..but getting the portraits ready to send and seeing them in print is so much fun for me!  I get excited every time my lab orders arrive!  I hope that you all enjoy your beautiful holiday packages.

On another note, I had to have some dental work last week and am now suffering from complications due to an extraction. :o(  I thought I was tough (three babies..etc..lol) until now…this is the worst pain I have ever felt.!  So if you are waiting for a return phone call I promise to be back on my feet soon.  In the meantime, send me some get well vibes if you can…

I just wanted to share a few images of what our coffee table books look like…they are just so beautiful and the artistic element of the book design takes the images to a whole new level!  I designed this one featuring some of my very favorite images and hope to add many more volumes in the future.  These are a few actual book images and also some examples of some of the page layouts.  I can bring this with me to sessions so be sure to ask if you would like to view one in person.
