[a little bit of christmas decor…] dallas fort worth photography

Well, I am certainly behind on blogging, but I wanted go ahead and share a few of our Christmas images.  I absolutely LOVE decorating for the holidays.  This year  I decorated our front sitting room tree vintage style, with tones of cream, black, vintage metals and red.  It was a fun change from our traditional tree!  We didn’t decorate as much because we surprised the little ones with a trip to Disney as a Christmas treat!  I have always loved Disneyworld, but had never been during Christmas.  It’s safe to say that I never want to go at any other time of year again. Only Disney could make Christmas more magical!  The lights were out of this world and they even made it snow in Florida! ;)   I plan to share more of those images soon.  I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!

If you are like me, you enjoy dressing your little girl…well…like a little girl.  After all, it won’t be long before she will be arguing with you and picking out her own clothing! lol  If you want something adorably girly, yet classic, you can’t go wrong with Eden’s Bouquet.  When Jen, the designer, told me she had created a suit for her Friday Harbor Collection, I was thrilled!!  I knew it would be perfect and vintage and it is!!  Here are the images we shot for Jen of the Heirloom Lace Suit.  Stay tuned..we have more EB’s images coming soon…

My “vintage” girl..I love her so…..I feel I can brag on her “classic” looks as I had nothing to do with her having them..she is a replica of her Daddy and grandmother. :o)

[eden's bouquet...]

I can’t begin to tell you how thrilled we were to receive a package from our friend Jen of “Eden’s Bouquet”.  I am huge fan of her clothing designs and have known her since my own design days back when.  It’s so exciting to see how successful she has become and to see her clothing featured in national magazines.  I highly recommend her designs to all my clients who are looking for that perfect “timeless” ensemble for their child.  Jen is a mother of 8 children and posivitely has the most amazing eye for detail, right down to her packaging.  She truly has a storybook life and it’s reflected in her work.  Visit her website www.edensbouquet.com .

You may be wondering why Grace has a new hairstyle?  Well, she got a round brush tangled in the side of her hair and her independent 6 year old problem solving was to simply “cut it out” and no one would be the wiser!  eek!  Soooo….a pixie cut was the only solution..there were tears..mostly mine, but we both have learned a very valuable lesson…to look beyond the outside and to the inside even more than we already do, she is beautiful no matter what…and meanwhile..it grows… ;o)
