[golden light…] ft worth child photographer

This session is one of my favorites from last fall.  The light that time of year is truly magical and this day was no exception.  I have been asked if I enjoy working with older children and the answer is an adamant YES!!  Children between the ages of 7-12 are usually eager to be photographed and easy to work with.   Once they feel at ease with you the rest is effortless and fun.   Take a peek at these gorgeous siblings.

[listen to the trees..] elevate-a fine art exploration / november 2011

“Listen to the trees talking in their sleep,’ she whispered, as he lifted her to the ground. ‘What nice dreams they must have!”- L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables.

There at times when all you envision with your imagination and what you are actually able to physically capture, come together.  Those moments are usually few and far between for most artists.  We struggle and strain, and while to outsiders our work may be beautiful, it pales in comparison to what we see in our mind’s eye.  Moments like these are what keep us chasing the proverbial “golden carrot” and striving to be better.  I have more beautiful images from this session that I will be sharing in another post, but for now it’s just this one, and I think it’s quite enough…

[halloween 2011..] dallas fort worth child photographer

I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween! Here is a little peek at ours and how we like to celebrate. Grace chose to be a witch at the last minute so she had two costumes this year! lol (girls) Colton was an alien-fitting since he turned 13 this summer! :) This was our first Halloween in the new neighborhood and we absolutely loved it! The kids have never gotten so much candy, ever!! We will be rationing it for months.
