  • My name is Tamara and I take pictures…

Photography is so much more than capturing an image, pictures capture feelings and memories.  I am so privileged to be able to do what I love, and give back to others at the same time.  My hope is that my work will remind families of the important things-the little moments memories are made of.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog and perhaps find a little inspiration.

[a beautiful boy.....] frisco baby photographer

Remember sweet Mr. G?  He has grown so much since the last time I saw him as a sweet little preemie…you can see just how small he was in his newborn pics here.  What a beautiful (I think beautiful is a perfectly fitting description for a baby boy..lol) boy he is.  It was nice visiting with his whole family again.  Thanks T..you have precious children!

[tiny sparrow foundation-a picture of hope...] dallas/ft worth child photographer

I want to take this opportunity to tell you all about a new role I am taking on with a foundation called Tiny Sparrow.  Tiny Sparrow Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing lasting memories through the art of photography to families whose children are facing life threatening illnesses.  I am so honored to help.   The focus of my photography has always been children because creating memories for families is so meaningful to me and what could be more important than helping families who are dealing with the unfathomable.   Tiny Sparrow was founded by Lidia Boicu, a photographer, mother and breast cancer survivor herself, who through her own suffering was led to reach out to the tiniest little warriors in the best way she could.  She has been an inspiration to many.

I will be blogging more a little later about an important event coming in September.  In the meantime, please visit www.tinysparrowfoundation.org , to read about some of these heroic parents and children.

[a romantic weekend in the Big Easy...] dallas/ft worth photographer

Michael and I celebrated our 14th anniversary this past June, so we decided to take some time away and sneak off to one of my favorite places on earth, New Orleans.  This is our third time together in the Big Easy and it never gets boring!   I got so many beautiful images of the city and a few of Michael and I (though that was a fun trick with no tripod and only a remote! lol )  I have only posted a few of my favorites here because there are SO many I LOVED.  So take a peek at the slide show at the bottom of the post and have a mental stroll through the antique shops and streets of the French Quarter and Garden District.

The shop was absolutely breathtaking!  Complete with an adorable kitty on site.
